Thunderbird Times

Newsletter of the Mighty South London Triumph Owners Motorcycle Club

My moaning about the weather in the last issue appears to have paid off. Haven’t the last few weeks been almost perfect for motorcycling?

Actually, the weather has been so nice that the Committee decided to have another Club BBQ in October. It is going to be a BBQ only rather than a Bike Show and BBQ.

Some of the Club members went to this year’s IoM and I understand that even there the weather was absolutely fine… (Nothing compared to last year when we lost the Club marquise in a storm!)

Those staying at home enjoyed a beautiful bank-holiday weekend and some took the opportunity to support Surrey branch at the Rudgwick Show.

Talking about other branches, last Tuesday some members of the South Hants branch called for a visit. We were very happy to welcome them but unfortunately, they picked an evening when many members were away (IoM). However, I understand they are planning to come back another night and we are looking forward to seeing them again (maybe at the BBQ).

And last but not least an official announcement:

The Committee would like to ask everybody in possession of MSL Club regalia to wear it to our Club Runs. This way it would be easier for outsiders to identify Club members and who knows, we might even attract new members.
