Thunderbird Times

Newsletter of the Mighty South London Triumph Owners Motorcycle Club

A good time was had by all at our little January party at the Princess of Wales earlier this month. Thank you very much Debbie & Terry, it was a really good do!

I understand the Christmas Dinner at the Princess of Wales was equally enjoyed by the participants and I already heard proposals for a similar event (maybe with a few more people) to be organised this year. Well done again to our landlord and –lady!

For now though I must say that things are looking a little dim on the 'events' side for the next couple of months with really not much going on (see below). Please be careful that you don't catch the winter blues.

There are however plenty of things to come this year. Plans are currently underway to organise a trip to Brittany possibly for the last week in May, a trip to the classic races in Belgium in June and maybe a trip to Germany in August or September.

Not to forget our regular Club events, such as the BBQ and Bike show planned for the 21st of July, the Quiz Night to be held in April and November and the usual trip to Perkpolder in Holland at the end of April.

As for the Sunday runs Bob suggested a run to the Hollycombe Steam Collection (a Victorian steam fair) in Liphook in June and a run to the biker's café in Horham in August.

That is it from me for now. See you when work gets less or days get longer (whatever comes first) ...

Up-Coming Events:

01’Feb’07 – 04'Feb'07

MCN London Motorcycle Show @ Excel Docklands.

Please note that his show has moved from Alexandra Palace to Excel Docklands.

Please, provide the editor with plenty of input to fill this section in future editions.

About the club:

Mighty South London Triumph Owners Motorcycle Club

We are the founder branch of the TOMCC, founded in 1949 by a group of Triumph motorcycle enthusiasts in the South London area. To this day we hold regular meets and organise and participate in a wide range of activities such as runs (local, national and international) and country shows. And most importantly we enjoy our bikes in the company of like-minded people.

For more information also see our website or just come along to one of our club meets.
